How Institutions Contribute to Sexual Predation

With the endless media reports and the countless number of complaints and support emails we get from so many victims of abuse that are or were involved in one institution or another, whether it be a University or a religious organization this article is spot on!

Joe Navarro is a former FBI Counterintelligence Agent and is the author of What Every Body is Saying. Also Author of: Dangerous Personalities: An FBI Profiler Shows You How to Identify and Protect Yourself from Harmful People. He is an expert on nonverbal communications and body language.

Joe states in his article: 

"Predators, especially smart ones, go into professions where their victims will be easy to access. In other words, they count on institutions, to wit: the Catholic church or a university as in these cases, to attract and corral the victims for them—thus making predation easier and more plentiful. Yes, that is how predators think, I know, I have interviewed them. This is what institutions fail to get."

And not only will institutions protect the predator, they will do the dirty work by questioning the veracity of victims or their memory, or worse, they may decide to just silence the victims. As unctuous as that sounds, that is exactly what they do. Institutions and enablers culpably embolden predators and so predators continue to do more harm. Sexual predators are aware that people are forgiving and that there will be those that will side with them no matter what they do – no matter how ugly the facts.

So not only are they negligent, most institutions are reluctant to recognize that they may have hired or are associated with a predator. As if their institution were somehow immune from these individuals. No institution is immune. The question is, are institutions willing to acknowledge even the possibility? Most I assure you are not."

Some recent victim's accounts of abuse regarding Shambhala:

"I was sexually assaulted by the Sakyong in the kitchen of the Halifax Kalapa Court after his wife, the Sakyong Wangmo, retired for the night with her first daughter, following the celebration of her first birthday in August, 2011. This experience was traumatic for me. "

"Young women are served up on platters without batting an eye."

"The last 6 months have been both treacherous and clarifying as conversations have unfolded, dragged on and danced around the topic of Shambhala sexual abuse. I have often thought it deserves its own unique brand. It’s as if a collective community trauma has been triggered and we are drawn to replay, revisit, deny and avoid patterns that seem so ingrained to the community. "

"I remember being instructed how to give a blow job when I was maybe 6. "

"The Sakyong’s Chief of Staff is most certainly aware of this incident of “sexual misconduct” despite what he has said to the contrary and to the Project Sunshine Mediator. Kalapa Council members know about this sexual misconduct, one of whom was supposed to be my MI around this time but never followed up. I have told several personally. And I know I am not the only one."

"Currently Shambhala International has threatened to sue Project Sunshine if they release/publish their PRELIMINARY investigation of SMR's misconduct (they haven't even asked anyone to come forward or make some call for it), the data of which has come from interviews with multiple women who have experienced harm. They did a good job of shaming Project Sunshine's effort. "

"Young women are served up on platters without batting an eye. They are treated like disposable pretty little things and pushed out when they roar, or crazy-made when they are suffering the impacts. Their mistreatment is used as material in punch lines by the court comedian who represents them as nobodies lined up for their service to men at court functions. Young women are the temporary "arm candy" and +1s for patrons and groomed to think it's a badge of pride to be on a drunken boy night out. Children of this community have been exposed to child molesters and normalized/denial attitudes toward abuse. I remember being instructed how to give a blow job when I was maybe 6. "

Your Message : Is there anymore happenings relating to Uma Inder Expose? I have observed and known Uma Inder's disgusting behavior for many years now. Though I was never a member of the cult, but I know intimately how she operates and have been the receiver of many of her tantrums and attempt to manipulate, control and dominate. I am afraid to be found out though. I just wish for her to stop operating in Bali, where her behavior have continued without consequences, even minor operations such as her unlicensed herbal company and private consultations."

As such, we have once again contacted Donny Day, founder of Physiyoga & yoga house in Toronto, Canada and also the Nordic SATYA team In Norway where we believe Uma Inder has scheduled classes. We believe it is there responsibility to inform students of the allegations against Uma Inder and the Register Yoga Teacher credentials that she no longer holds with Yoga Alliance. It is our hope that they do so immediately. Students have a right to know.

Recruitment: I was referred to victory outreach by a relative for drug rehab

Damaging Aspects: I had to work 12 hours a day hard labor I was fed absolute crap and not enough of it during the thirty days i was there I lost 20 pounds almost a pound a day I was being starved. on top of being worked 12 hours a day no pay after work we were sometimes required to work till 2 am at the pastors house and then had to wake up at 5:30 am to work another 12 hour hour day. if you received discipline you had to wake up at 4 am for two weeks to rake lines in the sand for an hour and thirty minutes.they use sleep deprivation as punishment. all this while the pastor lives high off the hog. when I worked at the pastors house I noticed that it was decked out nicely and that his fridge and cupboards were filled every kind of food while we starved and while I was there i found out that he bought his daughter a brand new dodge challenger for her 18th birthday .the pastor and his wife also drove nice cars while we starved

What would you like others to know?: they practice human slavery they make alot of money off your free labor and take advantage of drug addicts that are desperate.they brainwash people by making them pray 1 to two hours each day and constantly preaching to you every day and on top of all this they make you read the bible every day and write book reports on it on top of working 12 hours every day and being sleep deprived.

How do you feel now being out of the group? i now feel great that I'm no longer there

Additional: I would like to do whatever it takes to shut down the vo in all 50 state"
