FAITH-HEALING BILL ADVANCES TO IDAHO SENATE

Progress is being made in Idaho:

"Legislation that would tweak Idaho's laws allowing families to cite religious reasons for medical decisions without fear of being charged with neglect or abuse is headed to the Idaho Senate. The proposal would amend only Idaho's civil laws to make it easier for judges to get involved in faith-healing cases. The bill does not change the state's religious exemption regarding criminal charges, which is considered the most contentious part of the religious waiver."

"Focus on the exemption has exploded recently Idaho as more attention has been placed on the deaths of children among members of the Followers of Christ — based in southwestern Idaho — from treatable conditions, including pneumonia and food poisoning."

A step in the right direction.

RE: UMA INDER EXPOSE

Notice to all relevant parties: we are taking down our temporary Uma Inder expose draft link due to 1) unauthorized sharing of our private link, 2) requested changes by the complaint filers and our fact-finding investigation based on those changes, 3) new allegations / evidence we have received and allowing the defendants to have their say about this new information, 4) Communicating with lawyers on both sides.

TO ALL THE FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF VICTIMS FILING SUPPORT REQUESTS

We would like nothing more than to be able to help everyone in need of our services, but unfortunately at this time our office is receiving more victim support requests than our staff and available resources can handle.

As of now we will not be taking on any new support request cases unless we also receive the financial support needed to allow us to acquire the additional staff and resources necessary to handle each case properly. Our only exception is with cases involving minors that are being exploited and/or abused, or cult victims in life threatening situations.

Please see our website’s support page for more information via this link: https://www.familiesagainstcultteachings.org/Support/

Thank you for your understanding, and we will certainly provide an immediate update if the situation changes.

Sincerely,

The FACT Team

COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST 'PSI SEMINARS'

COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST 'PSI Seminars'
LOCATION: International
WEBSITE: http://www.psiseminars.com/

We are looking into a complaint alleging this organization is a multi-level marketing scam that brainwashes and exploits people financially. The filer of the complaint states that a member of her family was recruited into this program and as a result lost over 10 thousand dollars in a matter of months, completely draining her savings account.

The filer also states that her family member is completely brainwashed now and has disconnected from the family.

Online research revealed a plethora of negative complaints about PSI Seminars, supporting the complaint we received:

http://ow.ly/iHqW309q0J2

"This group is Dangerous they prey on the weak of mind to the point of being criminal and should be shut down. The whole thing is a scam just one big sales pitch to make you spend your money or bring in friends and family. To be completely honest it is pretty scary and sick."

"I have attended the PSI seminars 3 day weekend course and my Father, Mother, and Sister have all attended advance PSI courses. This company is a total scam.
They try brainwashing their "students" and get them to bring more people in to come to more seminars as well as sign up for expensive seminars themselves."

"It is appalling to see what this company will do. They have absolutely no morals and no integrity at all.  If you try and speak up and ask questions about their "teaching/preaching" they berate you like a child. Avoid them at all cost and you will have a much happier and healthier life!"

If you feel you have been hurt or wronged by PSI Seminars in any way, please contact our office immediately at: http://ow.ly/Nfgz308jSEz

ARE PEOPLE STUPID OR CRAZY TO GET INTO A CULT?

Cult members come from all walks of life, all age groups, educational levels and personality types. However, one common thread among most cult recruits is heightened stress: Research indicates that a majority of people who end up joining a cult were recruited during a particularly stressful period. This could be the stress associated with adolescence, leaving home for the first time, a bad breakup, losing a job or the death of a loved one. People undergoing significant stress can be more susceptible when a person or group claims to have the answer to all of their problems.

While the public thinks "people are stupid or crazy to get into a cult," cult expert and clinical psychologist Margaret Singer cautioned that almost anyone has periods of high stress or depression in life, during which they are vulnerable to the influence of a cult. "It may not be an attraction (to the group)," she said. "It may just be how good the recruiter is."
