Conference - Undue Influence: Manipulation & Exploitation in Sex Trafficking, Cults & Gangs

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Conference in Northern Colorado -  Undue Influence: Manipulation & Exploitation in Sex Trafficking, Cults & Gangs

This event will have three tracks: professional counselors, law enforcement and one for the general public. Cultic Experts, Trauma Counselors, Domestic Terrorist Analysts, the Greeley PD Gang Unit, the Colorado State Patrol - Human Trafficking Division, and a Sex Trafficking Research Expert share their knowledge in working with such populations. A panel of survivors (gang, cult, and sex trafficking) will share their story and answer audience questions.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis is involved with efforts to stem Human Trafficking in our state. Interestingly, Human Trafficking falls under the larger umbrella of cultic leadership and dynamics. The conference is February 8, 2020, in Loveland, Colorado, at The Ranch Events Center Complex First National Bank Exhibition Hall. We are inviting State Representatives, District Attorney Offices, Police Departments, Probation Officers, Pastoral staff, hospital staff, jail employees, counselors, social workers, crime victim’s compensation representatives, victim’s advocates, community leaders, educators, students and the community-at-large to learn about how manipulation has been utilized to coercively persuade individuals to vulnerably join under their leadership. The cost is $40.00 per person with lunch included if registered in advance.

Please consider covering for this groundbreaking conference to give you further insights and understanding into these exploited populations. A direct link to register is: https://www.FreedomsHopeCounseling.com/events/undue-influence.

The Sober Truth - Alcoholics Anonymous the Karla Brada Story

With a New Year ahead and so many people making their resolutions we thought this was an important piece to share.

We have received many complaints about Alcoholics Anonymous over the years and claims of abuse and predators targeting their victims at meetings. Where there are vulnerable, unsuspecting people, there seems to always be predators ready to prey upon them.

Please share this with friends and family to help raise awareness.

It is also the only non-profit group fighting to stop cults from ruining lives and also generating awareness and educating the public about these dangerous groups, manipulation, coercion and trafficking.

Letter from Tibor Stern, President of F.A.C.T.

Tibor Stern with his beloved daughter Sharoni Stern.  Their family's happiness was cut short by her teacher Katsura Kan.

Dear followers of F.A.C.T and friends,

As you may know by now, the ex-Naropa University teacher Katsura Kan was found guilty by Florida courts earlier this year for the wrongful death of one of his students, Sharon Stern, who happened to be my daughter.

I believe this will send a strong message to all cult leaders and abusers as it is an Unprecedented Ruling. Unfortunately, many of them are sociopaths and psychopaths that need to be stopped and held accountable for their actions.

Not to my surprise, a very serious allegation came to our attention by a young
female ex-student of Katsura Kan. As per her allegations, Katsura Kan drugged and raped her. Is this a man that should be allowed to teach our young, aspiring, vulnerable youth in a classroom or theater like he did at Naropa University in Boulder, CO? I call upon all institutions, educators and theaters to stop providing a platform to this evil character which I believe is destroying our youth by teaching them destruction.

We will publish all names and places that has or will continue to provide him with a platform to teach and/or perform. Hopefully we can prevent him from abusing anymore of his female students.

Sincerely,
Tibor Stern
President, F.A.C.T

Looking Ahead to 2020

Dear Friends and F.A.C.T. Readers,

We are fast approaching the end of the 2019 calendar year.  We at F.A.C.T. are very proud to report to you our major accomplishments with fighting cultic and human abuses.

We have given much needed guidance in difficult recoveries that were inflicted on vulnerable abuse victims. We are giving support to families of various victims of organized abuse (be it from churches, schools, self-help groups etc). We’ve also been coordinating psychological and psychiatric care for the Survivors of such abuses.

We have coordinated with law enforcement and media in dealing with dangerous cult leaders.

You and We are Making a Difference!

We have an enormous task ahead of us for 2020.  This year alone, we have received hundreds of major, documented complaints by victims or their families about undue influence, brainwashing, financial, physical, sexual, spiritual and mental abuses.  As you can see that’s what we have been dealing with and will continue to deal with in 2020.

In addition to the above, we are also putting together a budget and partnering with a Dept of Justice Trained Anti-Trafficking Expert for teaching, lecturing and bringing awareness to students in High Schools, Universities and Entire Communities.  Early Prevention is the Only way to help innocent, vulnerable youth to arm themselves against high control groups and manipulative situations of any kind.

100% of every dollar that we receive in donations go directly to supporting families, survivors and the prevention of further victims.  As you know, that’s why we receive year after year the Guide Star Platinum Award for transparency.

Thank you in advance for considering donating to this upmost important cause in our society. With your help and our efforts, Together we will be able to save more of our vulnerable youth and help reunite more loving families in the upcoming years.

Wishing you all a safe and Happy Holiday Season.

Sincerely,
Tibor Stern

Mormon Church Mislead Members on 100 Billion Tax Exempt Investment Fund, Whistleblower alleges

Washington Post: "A former investment manager alleges in a whistleblower complaint to the Internal Revenue Service that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has amassed about $100 billion in accounts intended for charitable purposes, according to a copy of the complaint obtained by The Washington Post.
The confidential document, received by the IRS on Nov. 21, accuses church leaders of misleading members — and possibly breaching federal tax rules — by stockpiling their surplus donations instead of using them for charitable works. It also accuses church leaders of using the tax-exempt donations to prop up a pair of businesses.
A spokesman for the church did not respond to detailed questions from The Post about the complaint. “The Church does not provide information about specific transactions or financial decisions,” spokesman Eric Hawkins said in a statement."
