If you don't fight EVIL you empower them.

As per my information, seems as (UA) is making an effort to investigate all cult related allegations against them that took place on their campus. I only wish that Naropa University in Boulder Colorado would do the same. We have contacted Naropa for a meeting to discuss the death of my beloved daughter Sharoni Stern, which as per all documented facts was brought upon her by Naropa's so called teacher the "GURU" KATSURA KAN. Naropa's response was we are not interested, we heard enough from those people. Those people are Sharoni's parents who are grieving and will live with their pain of losing their child rest of their lives. I believe, Naropa was negligent by hiring Katsura Kan. I also believe and in my opinion Naropa's curriculum and the destructive teaching of Katsura Kan, which is well documented, brought the tragic death of my daughter. As per my opinion and my believe and some documented facts on related issues, Naropa's cult like behavior goes on since Naropa's foundation. All information about Naropa is well published on Internet and many books and detailed communication by past student.

As I always say; If you don't fight EVIL you empower them.

Tibor Stern, on behalf of the Sharoni Stern Estate.

We are seeking stories...

We were contacted by an acclaimed NYC Television Production company last week. Here's what they have to say:

"We are seeking stories from men and women who are in the process of leaving, or have recently left, extreme religious families, communities or movements and are working to build a life for themselves outside of the church. We are working with a major cable network to develop a new documentary TV series in which they hope to present an authentic, informative and inspiring portrayal of this immeasurably difficult journey.

If you would like to be considered for this project, to recommend a friend, or to simply find out more information, please write to us at hsmediacasting@gmail.com with a brief note about yourself (name, age, your current relationship to the group in question and the best way to get in touch with you).

At this stage, absolutely everything we receive or discuss will be kept strictly confidential."

Please pass this on to anyone you feel would be interested.

Strategies to Improve Critical Thinking Skills Strategies to Improve Critical Thinking Skills.

Strategies to Improve Critical Thinking Skills.

Former Cult members often ask themselves and sometimes struggle with "how could I have believed in that for so long" or "why could everyone else see it was a cult but I couldn't"?
Development in thinking requires a gradual process requiring plateaus of learning and just plain hard work. It is not possible to become an excellent thinker simply because one wills it.

Here are 9 strategies that any motivated person can use to develop as a thinker:

1. Use “Wasted” Time.

2. A Problem A Day.

3. Internalize Intellectual Standards.

4. Keep An Intellectual Journal.

5. Reshape Your Character.

6. Deal with Your Ego.

7. Redefine the Way You See Things.

8. Get in touch with your emotions.

9. Analyze group influences on your life.

IT CAN HAPPEN TO THE BEST OF US...

A touching e-mail we received recently:

"Hi, I am greatly touched by Sharoni's story. I spent time near Naropa as a dance student in the University in Boulder and at one time in my life got involved with a dark character and lost my otherwise healthy and functional self, IT CAN HAPPEN TO THE BEST OF US, I went on to study various holistic means of reconnecting with love and truth through self empowerment and meditation. I would love to be of help through online support of those struggling to reclaim sanity. If I could reach the parents and friends of Sharoni I wish to send them love and peace."

You will know your kid is in a cult when....

We receive calls and e-mails daily from parents and family who have loved ones in cults. Here's what one family we're working with has to report and this is why we are so dedicated to raising awareness and preventative education.

"You will know your kid is in a cult when you hear things such as: "I'm happy, everyone is nice, I'm not into the material world, and money doesn't mean anything to me".

There are dramatic and troubling concerns when you send your kid to college and instead of getting a college education, they get indoctrinated into a mind numbing, controlling cult, where they get up at 4 am to chant the Hare Krishna mantra under the influence of transcendental meditation (no thought) on their wooden beaded necklace. The necklace has 108-beads on it, and you have to do the mantra 16-times for each wooden bead, which equals no less than 1,728 times a day, every single day, that's 630,000 times a year.

The group's insistence that your kid sell the groups fantasy scripture books and also recruit others unknowingly instead of enjoying time with friends and family, especially over the holidays.

Work 10-12 hours a day and spend time only with the group each and every day, which includes chanting the mantra, mediation, learning scriptures, singing, dancing, playing the same music, but mostly free slave labor for the group's activities i.e. cooking, cleaning, serving food, sell books, recruit others and getting further indoctrinated away from reality each and every waking hour with only the group and no other outside influences like family, friends, newspapers, TVs, non-group books, current events.

The pseudo personality, trance-like, robotic-like unrecognizable loving kid is no more, yep the kid has been so controlled and influenced and under so much stress, duress, anxiety and fear."
If you know of Cult Recruiting and activity happening on a University Campus, please e-mail us with specifics.

Guy Miller Ministries / Church of Life in Christ in McKeesport, PA victim complaint

We recently received a report from a victim of Guy Miller Ministries / Church of Life in Christ in McKeesport, PA, who claims that Guy Miller is acting as a cult leader (those who do not follow his will and dictates are excommunicated from the church and shunned by remaining family -- the victim is being shunned by both parents and siblings at this point). The report goes on to say that Miller is using undue influence to keep his congregation under his control, manipulating them with fear and guilt, as well as putting a great deal of pressure on members to tithe a set percentage of their gross incomes.

If anyone has any information they would like to share about Guy Miller and this church in McKeesport, PA, please contact us immediately.
